The works in this collection are all inspired by Alexa's travels through Central and South America.  These adventures left her awestruck by natural beauty and the complexity of foreign traditions.  Many of the works describe the culture of the indigenous Miskitu - a small indigenous group that lives on the coast of Honduras and Nicaragua.  Alexa had the amazing opportunity of living with the Miskitu peoples, where she learned their language and taught a free English class.
